Writers Needed
East Texas Heart Gallery is in it's 3rd year and we are calling
out to the community for a few good people to help us grow.
"I wish Heart Gallery had have been around when I was in
foster care. I know you would have found me a family." ~

Tour Help
We are building our "Pure Religion- James 1:27" church
section of the Heart Gallery tour. We need committee members, people
who can transport the tour every 3 weeks throughout East Texas and
a wood worker who will help us build light weight panels.

Office Help
Your place or ours! Someone who can record our efforts. This person
will need to have e-mail and record keeping skills. This position
is important, but will be able to be done from home in about an
hour a month once understood. A grant writer and/or letter writer.

Help with The Children
Persons who can help write the stories after interviewing the children
at their photo shoots twice a year. Anyone who works directly with
the children will need to have have a criminal background check

Why We Need You
Every time a volunteer is recruited and trained, new community
members are introduced to the issues of adoption and foster care,
thus building a constituency of people who understand and care about
these problems. Each volunteer gets to know families first hand,
and consequently cares more about the problem because people care
much more about people than about statistics.

Volunteer Forms
1) Donations! Does your office have a pledge drive? We could speak to your co-workers about making a small donation every month. How much can you give every week, month, year? It really adds up!

2) Sponsors. We have a place and a display. We need liability insurance and a framer to finish this mall display. Have your company sponsor this exhibit.
3) Family mentors needed... East Texas Heart Gallery is seeking family mentors to guide new adoptive families who struggle with challenging behavior from their children. A family mentor would provide support and advise on coping and growing.

4) Volunteers for the Christmas Party - planning, gathering, baking, etc. Volunteer by Nov. 10th. contact us!
